Job Summary

We are seeking a Temporary Finance Officer to join our client in Exeter.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the charity, ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparency, and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Financial Planning and Reporting

    The Finance Officer will develop and manage the charity's annual budget and financial forecasts, while monitoring cash flow and preparing financial statements.

  • Financial Management

    Key responsibilities include managing the purchase ledger system, processing invoices, preparing and processing the payment run, and scanning invoices.

  • Fundraising Support

    The Finance Officer will assist with fundraising activities by providing financial insights and reporting.

Person Specifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred.

Experience in financial management, ideally within the charity sector, is essential.

Strong analytical and numerical skills, as well as proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools, are also required.

Benefits

This part-time opportunity offers £20 per hour, a temporary contract, and 22.5 hours per week.
