Job Title: AWS Solution Architect with Java

We are a prominent iGaming development company, Tain Ltd, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge products and immersive gaming experiences worldwide.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Video Solution Architect to lead the design and development of advanced video solutions for us. As a Video Solution Architect, you will be responsible for creating scalable, high-performance video platforms and ensuring seamless integration with various business systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Architecting Video Solutions: Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure video delivery systems, including live streaming, video-on-demand (VoD), content delivery networks (CDN), and encoding/decoding pipelines.
  2. Technology Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for video technology, including video compression standards, codecs, protocols (HLS, DASH), and emerging trends such as Ultra HD and VR/AR video.
  3. System Integration: Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate video solutions with existing systems, platforms, and third-party APIs, ensuring a smooth user experience and high-quality video delivery.
  4. Project Management: Lead the technical architecture of video projects from conception to deployment, ensuring deadlines are met, and systems are built with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with product managers, sales, and customers to understand business requirements and translate them into innovative video solutions that meet market needs.
  6. Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimise video delivery systems for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, implementing solutions for scaling video platforms.
  7. Innovation and Research: Stay ahead of industry trends in video technology, explore new tools and solutions, and recommend innovative approaches to improve existing platforms.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role, with a focus on video technologies and platforms.
  3. Strong knowledge of video codecs (H.264, H.265, etc.).
  4. Experience with video processing tools, cloud-based video platforms (AWS Elemental, Azure Media Services), and content management systems (CMS).
  5. Hands-on experience with video compression, encoding, and transcoding techniques.
  6. Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
  7. Familiarity with containerisation and microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Experience in OTT (Over-the-Top) video services, broadcast media, or video production environments.
  2. Familiarity with AI/ML techniques in video processing, including real-time analytics, metadata extraction, and automated video enhancement.
  3. Knowledge of VR/AR video technologies and interactive media experiences.
  4. Understanding of video security protocols, watermarking, and anti-piracy technologies.
