Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at beBee Professionals, you will play a key role in delivering successful construction projects across various sectors. You will be responsible for managing cost estimation, procurement, and contract negotiation, ensuring project financial efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Financial Reporting: Conduct cost analysis and financial reporting throughout project lifecycles.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Project Management: Monitor and manage project cash flows and budgets.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and legislation.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project targets are met.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
  • Full UK driving license.

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
