Job Summary:

The Pool Engineering Specialist will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of swimming pool and wellness systems. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Laying pool pipework from 50mm to 150mm/200mm, working both outdoors and indoors, and in plantrooms.
  3. Working from drawings to determine pipe runs, assessing and planning routes on site, and collaborating with the Contract Manager.
  4. Designing and fitting plantrooms with suitable valve arrangements based on drawings.
  5. Reporting weekly progress to the Contract Manager, identifying issues, and discussing solutions.
  6. Working to a weekly/monthly schedule of works, agreed and discussed with the Contract Manager.
  7. Collaborating with a team of two to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  8. Vehicle maintenance, ensuring the vehicle is safe to drive, and reporting maintenance activities.
  9. Assisting the installation team with rendering, screeding, and tanking, as well as tiling pool shells.
  10. Assessing, stripping, and preparing pool shells for the next stage of works.
  11. Working occasional night shifts to complete site-specific tasks that cannot be done during the day.
  12. Ordering materials and equipment needed for the week's work, in consultation with the office team and Contract Manager.
  13. Installing pool chemical dosing equipment as required.
  14. Ensuring the availability of necessary tools and equipment for the week's tasks.
  15. Conducting pressure tests on pipes.
  16. Returning paperwork, such as pressure testing sheets, site reports, and overtime forms, in a timely manner.
  17. Maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to job-specific RAMS.
  18. Contributing to the team's efficiency by suggesting methods and work practices that improve site performance.
  19. Approaching tasks and challenges with a proactive and motivated attitude.
  20. Taking ownership of projects to deliver a high-quality build and a satisfied client.
  21. Accounting for materials and equipment on site to minimize waste and unnecessary costs.
  22. Performing repairs and remedial works as needed.
  23. Running ductwork, with on-site training provided.
  24. Assisting with the delivery of large items to site, checking on-site deliveries, and reporting back to the office.

Salaries and Benefits:

  • Starting salary based on experience, with a review after 12 months.
  • Overtime paid at the standard rate.
  • Standard working hours: 8.00 - 17.00, Mon-Fri.
