About the TeamOur team structures are designed to ensure there is the right level of support and management oversight available to staff within the Front Door/MASH. The MASH is a supportive team who welcome and fully induct new starters to ensure they are well-equipped to start their successful career at GCC.
We are seeking a resilient and driven individual to play their part in making our vision for Children's Services a success. As a social worker within our MASH, you will work to ensure we keep the children and young people at the heart of our assessments and decision-making.
You will need a clear understanding of the principle and function of a Front Door/Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub and evidence of the ability to determine positive outcomes for children and young people, within tight timescales. The ideal applicant will have had a good foundation of working as a frontline social worker and possess a recognised qualification in Social Work.
Key Responsibilities- To provide high-quality assessments and recommendations for children and young people in need of safeguarding services
- To work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each case
- To develop and implement effective plans to meet the needs of children and young people
In return, we offer a competitive salary range of £37,938 - £45,718 per annum, subject to experience, along with annual retention payment of £2,000* and flexible and agile working opportunities. We also provide 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service and option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff).
