We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Hovis in Avonmouth, Bristol. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of goods in our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all aspects of the warehouse function to complete the daily workload within planned time schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate and legal standards, including personal safety, food safety, quality, hygiene, and environment
  • Deliver to targets set on a shift and on a weekly basis
  • Ensure the warehouse function is completed to the highest standard
  • Load and unload vehicles within key performance indicator targets
  • Pick products in baskets correctly using block picking
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and hygiene at all times
  • Operate the Put to Light picking system and Track & Trace system
  • Work effectively alone and as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable
  • A FLT licence is desirable but not essential, as in-house training will be provided
  • Flexibility, good attendance, and good timekeeping are essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative to specific deadlines
  • Positive attitude to work and flexibility to meet the challenging demands of the operation
  • Effective communication and ability to develop good working relationships at all levels
