Habilitation Specialist

About the Role

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled Habilitation Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with visual impairments.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced specialist to work closely with families, schools, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality support and training to enable children and young people to achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the habilitation needs of children and young people, devising and delivering programmes of training and support, and working with families and settings to promote independence and mobility.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a specialist Graduate Diploma in Habilitation and Disabilities of Sight (Children and Young People) or equivalent qualification. You should also have experience of assessing habilitation needs, developing and delivering training programmes, and working with children and young people with visual impairments.

Salary and Benefits
