About the Role

Concord is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP, Information Technology Publishing to lead the development and maintenance of our publishing systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for understanding the business needs of our publishing operations and identifying opportunities for process improvements, tool enhancements, and world-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensively understand how publishing copyrights, sales data ingestion, and royalty calculation/reporting are handled at Concord, with a focus on deal requirements and software constraints.
  • Manage a growing team of business and technology professionals supporting our publishing systems, workflows, and data.
  • Develop and implement system roadmaps that chart the future development of end-to-end publishing solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience, and manageability.
  • Liaise with multiple departments and cross-functional IT teams to ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and policies for assigned projects and enhancements.
  • Lead business stakeholders, internal technology resources, and third-party vendors in the design, development, testing, and deployment of new business functionality.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in music publishing and copyright with a large publisher, including 5+ years of experience leading teams of developers, business analysts, QA engineers, etc.
  • Strong experience with business processes supporting copyright and royalties, including finance and accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences in written and verbal formats.
  • Knowledge of software development phases, including requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
