Job Title: Clinical Excellence Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Excellence Specialist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our maternity services, you will play a vital role in driving improvements related to clinical practice and ensuring that our standards meet national and local expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement improvement projects within our maternity programme, working closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
  2. Utilize data from local and national reports to inform project planning and execution, guaranteeing alignment with best practice guidance.
  3. Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and assurance across all services, promoting excellence in patient care.
  4. Mentor and support the band 6 transformation midwife, providing guidance on quality improvement initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with guideline/audit lead to develop, implement, and monitor compliance with clinical guidelines, enhancing patient safety.
  6. Manage complex information related to guidelines, audits, and standards, requiring excellent analytical and communication skills.
  7. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, contributing to wider dissemination of work through presentations, papers, and meetings.
