Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform infrastructure surveys, wired and wireless.
  • Get involved in office moves, adds, changes.
  • Perform technical refresh of network hardware and cabling.
  • Perform impact assessments on large or complex networks.
  • Expected to have undertaken other Network Engineering roles for at least 5 years.
  • Have demonstrable experience of configuring Network systems, switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing and voice.
  • Be qualified to Cisco CCNA level.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of networks including network security, virtual private networking (VPN) converged networks and broadband technologies.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Voice network Infrastructures for enterprise organisations.
  • Understand racking, cabling and containment systems and standards.
Requirements:
  • Work 5 days per week onsite Barrow-in-Furness site and other sites around the UK, often at short notice.
