Job Overview

Rise Resourcing is seeking an experienced Dairy Procurement Specialist to join their team as a Senior Procurement Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work with a fast-paced Retail / FMCG environment and develop expertise in dairy buying / procurement.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a Procurement / Indirect or GNFR role, with excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise & influence effectively at all levels. They will be responsible for managing the full end-to-end procurement process, including market research, competitive pricing, supplier selection and negotiation, contract implementation and supplier performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full end-to-end procurement process including market research, competitive pricing, supplier selection and negotiation, contract implementation and supplier performance reviews.
  • Dealing and resolving escalated supplier queries.
  • Responsible for sourcing dairy commodities such as Butter, Cream, Milk and cheese.
  • Continually review contracts, and benchmark, tender, re-negotiate and execute contracts/agreements with suppliers to improve quality, service, and cost efficiency.
  • Continually monitoring dairy procurement success criteria to track departmental performance.
  • Liaising with various internal departments including Production, NPD, Finance, Technical, Sales and Operations teams to ensure smooth running of the procurement processes.
  • Analysing departmental figures & creating reports for management team.
  • Presenting reports, figures, and key information to the Senior Management team.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £50,000 - 60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Requirements

  • Proven experience within a Procurement / Indirect or GNFR role.
  • Experience with fast-paced, Retail / FMCG environment is essential.
  • Knowledge of dairy buying / procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise & influence effectively at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach.
  • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel.
