We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team in a night shift position. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
- Conducting complex repairs on engines, transmissions, and suspensions
- Troubleshooting electrical systems, wiring, and control modules
- Ensuring all work complies with legal standards and conducting necessary safety checks
Requirements and Benefits
To be considered for this role, you must have technical qualifications or proven experience in repairing and maintaining vehicles. HGV Class I would be beneficial but is not essential. You should also be able to adapt to new technology and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £25-£30 per hour, depending on experience, as well as overtime pay at 1.5x the hourly salary. In-house training courses are also available to help you develop your skills and advance your career.
