About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linen Distribution Supervisor to join our team at Elis UK Limited.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational services of the linen room, ensuring the efficient collection and delivery of linen and other services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships with key personnel, resolving any minor customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Directly supervise and monitor staff performance during the course of their duties, ensuring high standards of quality and service delivery.
  • Monitor and control staff timekeeping, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Agree and allocate cover for annual leave and sickness absence, ensuring that the linen room remains fully staffed at all times.
  • Highlight any potential breaches of staff conduct to the Contract/Account Manager, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Assist and provide cover for other staff in their duties, ensuring that the linen room remains fully staffed at all times.
  • Conduct first line return to work interviews in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Conduct annual staff appraisals, ensuring that all staff are aware of their strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Undertake induction training of new staff and assist in all relevant staff training, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Check the quantities of linen supplies from the laundry to ensure they are accurate, ensuring that all linen is delivered to the correct location.
  • Co-ordinate with the servicing factory on a regular basis, ensuring that all linen is delivered to the correct location.
  • Ensure that all dirty linen is collected from wards and departments daily and returned to collection points, ensuring that all linen is delivered to the correct location.
  • Ensure delivery schedules are met along with any additional ad-hoc requests, ensuring that all linen is delivered to the correct location.
  • Assist in the distribution and collection of linen when required, ensuring that all linen is delivered to the correct location.
  • Ensure communication between Elis and the site is timely and accurate, both verbally and in document format.
  • Liaise with the Contract/Account Manager on a regular basis, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
