About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role. As an Occupational Therapist with Provide CIC, you will be working in a variety of community settings, including community hospitals, clinics, schools, and people's homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced Occupational Therapy assessments of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions.
  • Develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes, utilising advanced clinical reasoning skills.
  • Evaluate patient progress, reflect, analyse, and reassess intervention, and alter treatment programmes as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly with other team members to ensure consistency of approach and enhance recovery.
  • Maintain up-to-date and timely clinical records in accordance with service and professional standards.
  • Hold clinical responsibility for a designated caseload, seeing patients in the most appropriate community setting.
  • Provide leadership and training for junior members of staff and support workers within the team.
  • Supervise occupational therapy students on placement.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Undertake relevant competency training, specific to the service area and appropriate to the role banding.
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Health and Care Professions Registered.
  • Portfolio evidence of postgraduate training across a range of specialised clinical areas.
  • Broad range of clinical experience in various settings, including community, inpatient, neurology, orthopaedics, and care of the elderly.
  • Experience of managing own caseload, prioritising, and delegating work in response to changing demands.
  • Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning skills.
  • Effective multidisciplinary team working.
  • Supervision of junior staff, support workers, and students.
  • Experience of prescribing specialist Occupational Therapy equipment to meet patient needs.
  • Understanding of national healthcare policy and national guidance relevant to this field.
  • Sound understanding of clinical governance and audit.
