Expert Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

A leading NHS district general hospital in Warwickshire seeks a dynamic, charismatic, and energetic individual with an interest in Early Pregnancy Assessment and Outpatient Gynaecology to lead our staff into a brave new era.

• To support and complement both the Obstetrics and Gynaecology services provided by George Eliot Hospital NHS.
• To take clinical responsibility for a defined cohort of women under their care.
• To participate in 'Consultant of the week' rota and to provide consultant cover for the Maternity Assessment Unit and Triage.
• To aid the lead clinician for the Gynae assessment unit and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit.
• To be responsible for the obstetric training of junior staff and undergraduate students.
• To assist in the smooth running of the newly established Gynae Assessment Unit and the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit in line with National Guidelines, liaising with other colleagues and the Gynaecology Modern Matron.
• To be involved in appraisal and assessment of junior staff and undergraduate students.
• To take an active role in Clinical Governance, and lead and participate in audit projects relevant to clinic.
• To promote research and academic activity within the department.
• To attend Trust and Departmental induction and mandatory training.
• To be responsible for Governance in Gynaecology in conjunction with the Matron for Gynaecology Services.
• To participate in any MDT - obstetric ad hoc, colposcopy if practiced and oncology if submitting a patient to be discussed.

Salary: £100,000 - £150,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
