Nursery Room Leader - A Key Role in Early Years Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Blom and Blom. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on a key role in shaping the early years development of young children.

Job Summary

This position involves leading a team of nursery practitioners to provide a stimulating and enabling environment that supports the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and be able to demonstrate their knowledge through effective planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a critical role in promoting a safe, caring, and educational environment that fosters children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You will work closely with the nursery team to ensure that each child receives high-quality care and education that meets their individual needs and interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORTING THE NURSERY TEAM: Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.
  • PROMOTING SAFETY AND WELL-BEING: Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children in your care, adhering to EYFS guidelines and safeguarding policies.
  • PLANNING AND DELIVERY: Develop and implement engaging learning activities that align with the EYFS curriculum, promote children's learning outcomes, and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT: Organize and lead team meetings to discuss progress, share best practices, and address any concerns or challenges.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant nursery practitioner or teaching qualification (e.g., NNEB, CACHE, EYT).
  • A deep understanding of the EYFS, including planning, assessment, and curriculum implementation.
  • An awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
