We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Contract Manager to lead the electrical project management for a prestigious six-story building project in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team at 1st Step Solutions, representing a mechanical and electrical principal contractor.

About the Project:

The project primarily focuses on electrical work, although there will be a minor component of construction tasks to oversee. Programme of works will include replacing electrical infrastructure, armoured cables, sub mains, switchboards. Given that the building is occupied, some work will require out-of-hours attendance, including occasional weekday evenings and approximately 8-10 weekend shutdowns, necessitating the presence of site management from the principal contractor.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and guiding the delivery team to ensure outstanding operational performance.
  • Oversight of the operational project team to ensure all activities align with the project's program, budget, safety, and quality objectives.
  • Accountability for the installation of Building Services within your projects.
  • Delivering high-quality installations that meet client expectations while maximising profitability and managing costs without compromising standards.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND in Building Services or higher qualification.
  • CSCS/IOSH/SMSTS certifications.
  • Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • Proven experience in senior role on electrical projects, with strong background in full contract management.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of organisation.
  • Ability to take on responsibilities and meet project goals within set timelines.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and ongoing risk assessment/control.
  • Skilled in fostering and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Representing the organisation professionally, ensuring timely and safe project completion while meeting financial expectations.
Salary:

£65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
