Job Description

In this exciting role as Water Quality Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our operations meet all relevant environmental regulations. You will be responsible for planning and delivering annual wastewater sampling and analysis plans, working closely with our regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day workload of two Waste Water Monitoring Advisors
  • Forecast spend for OSM and UWWTR Sampling and Analysis Contracts
  • Main point of contact for Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales for OSM and UWWTR monitoring, analytical, data return, and regulatory queries
  • Lead Operator Monitoring Assessment (OMA) Audit for Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales
  • Provide advice and interpretation on waste water monitoring requirements to internal stakeholders and engineering consultants


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Knowledge of water industry regulatory arena, environmental regulations, and environmental management systems
  • Experience planning and delivering regulatory sample plans for wastewater or water
  • Excellent people management skills, with ability to communicate effectively with regulators and stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage own workload
  • Experience using MS Office tools, including Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Relevant experience in environmental discipline, such as environmental chemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, or water management


Salary and Benefits

This role comes with a competitive salary between £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive:
