The Climate Parliament is an international, multi-partisan network of legislators working worldwide to combat climate change and protect the living planet. We have had a major impact on renewable energy budgets, laws, and policies at the national level.

Our new project, Parliamentarians for Climate Finance, aims to increase the flow of public and private green investment to participating countries by building the capacity of legislators on climate finance, convening dialogues with investors, and developing actionable ideas for parliamentary interventions.

We are seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining robust financial models to inform good management decision-making processes and allow financially responsible planning and budgeting.
  • Managing and monitoring staff time requirements for project grants, ensuring regular completion and compliance with funder's terms and conditions.
  • Delivering accurate cash flow analysis and overseeing the financial health of the organisation, including providing regular forecasts and planning data.
  • Interpreting and presenting financial analysis to Senior Managers and Board Members to ensure the financial impact of operational activities is planned, understood, and evaluated.
  • Assisting with project grant applications.
  • Carrying out financial transaction duties, including approval of invoices, receiving requisitions from staff, and managing per diems.
  • Carrying out Accounts Receivable duties, including raising invoices, credit notes, and resolving queries.
  • Processing expense claims.
  • Working with registered accountants to file annual audit reports and submit monthly payroll.

The contract will run until 31 March 2026, with a possibility of a three-month extension. The successful candidate will be expected to have good knowledge of financial accounting and management software, experience developing budgets and cash flow analysis, and be fluent in spoken and written English.

The Climate Parliament is a remote-working organisation, and the successful candidate will be expected to work from home with minimal supervision. We welcome applications from women and other underrepresented groups.
