About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Officer to join our team in Cardiff. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential settings.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of our residents, promoting their independence and self-esteem. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs and challenges of each child.

As a Residential Child Care Officer, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters positive relationships and encourages personal growth. You will participate in household activities, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and maintenance, while also supporting residents with their daily routines, education, and leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs and challenges of each child.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in household activities, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Support residents with their daily routines, education, and leisure activities.
