Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver customer products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security using ratchet straps.
  • Deliver loads throughout the UK, including full and groupage loads.
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork and manage customer expectations.
  • Interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Collaborate with the transport team to ensure efficient progress and customer satisfaction.
  • Nights away from home may be required.
  • Travel to different depots, with expenses covered.
  • Attend regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills:

  • Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience in delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player with good geographical knowledge.
  • Fitness, flexibility, hard work, and self-motivation are essential.
