Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Art Tutor to join our team at Richmond Adult Community College. As a variable hours Tutor, you will work closely with Programme Leaders in designing, planning, and delivering courses that stretch and challenge our learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of techniques including painting, drawing, and art and design to entry and intermediate learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Prepare learning materials, provide guidance on progression options, and attend termly meetings.
  • Deliver courses that meet the needs of our learners and contribute to the development of our curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality learning experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum entry-level teaching qualification, such as the Award in Education or PTTLs.
  • A relevant art qualification and experience of teaching art to learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • A full teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, is desirable.
