Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our Radiotherapy Computing team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £43,414-£63,436 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a 15% High Cost Area Supplement, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata.

Job Responsibilities
  • Investigate technical/functional issues raised by users and resolve them to satisfaction, ensuring system security and operation.
  • Plan and manage implementation of hardware and software solutions with internal and external parties, minimizing disruption to treatment delivery.
  • Assist in testing the Medical Equipment LAN (MEL) following repair or upgrade to ensure patient treatment safety.
  • Develop solutions to IT problems using various tools and techniques to deliver best-fit solutions.
  • Design and specify equipment to meet service needs, sourcing quotations as required.
  • Provide advice and training for physics, radiography, and medical staff on the Aria Patient Management System.
Requirements

This role requires a degree or equivalent experience, postgraduate qualifications such as MCP or MCSE, and relevant NHS or healthcare experience as an engineer or similar. You must also possess excellent communication skills, self-organization abilities, and attention to detail, among other essential qualities.
