Cherry Professional - Relationship Led Recruitment is proud to represent a leading manufacturer in Derbyshire who is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Process VAT returns and assist with tax compliance and reporting.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial accuracy.
- Liaise with external auditors, provide necessary documentation, and assist in audit preparations.
- Proven background working within a full finance function.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to solve problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using MS packages, particularly Excel, and familiarity with other finance systems.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
