Role Overview:

The Senior Private Sector Partnerships Specialist will work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including our Executive Leadership Team, Policy and Practice team, and Global Secretariat.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding and staying up-to-date on trends in private sector sustainability and ESG objectives, with a specific focus on gender and human rights.
  2. Negotiating complex high-value contracts with private sector partners that align with ActionAid's mission and values.
  3. Collaborating with external partners, including ethical trade, human rights, and responsible business specialists, as well as senior decision-makers within the private sector, industry associations, and business lobby groups.
  4. Using excellent networking and influencing skills to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  5. Traveling to the countries we work with and working on programs addressing serious human rights abuses, including gender-based violence.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  3. Understanding of private sector sustainability and ESG objectives.
  4. Experience in negotiating high-value contracts.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
