About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our team at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a specialist mental health service, we provide evidence-based assessment and treatment to children, young people, and their families who have complex mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide CBT assessment, formulation, and individual/group intervention for children, young people, and families with complex mental health problems.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the Trust's policies and procedures.
  • To be part of the RISE multi-disciplinary team delivering specialist interventions and provide expert clinical advice in MDT discussions.
  • To carry a CBT caseload and co-ordinate care for those children, young people, and families on their caseload.

Person Specification

  • Relevant professional registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Allied Health Professional, or Social Worker.
  • Skilled to provide CBT assessment, formulation, and individual/group intervention for children, young people, and families with complex mental health problems.
  • Ability to use a variety of psychometric questionnaires and routine outcome measures in clinical meaningful ways to inform practice.
  • Specialist knowledge of the range of young people's mental health problems and mental health services, including risk assessment and management.
  • Knowledge of legislative frameworks and recent guidelines in child and adolescent mental health service provision.
  • Ability to deliver evidence-based assessment, formulation, and interventions.
