Our client is a leading provider of clean water design services, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of clean water design projects, from outline design to construction support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design team in the development of clean water design projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and standards.
  2. Manage a team of multidisciplinary design engineers to produce high-quality design outputs.
  3. Coordinate with external design resources as needed to ensure project deliverables are met.
  4. Develop and manage project proposals, programs, and resource allocation to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  5. Conduct site visits to gather information necessary for design development.
  6. Ensure all design outputs meet company QA procedures and client health and safety standards.
  7. Review and approve technical reports, appraisals, designs, and drawings to ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
  8. Chair design meetings and workshops to review project progress and address technical issues.
  9. Support project managers and directors in the business.

Requirements

  1. 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in clean water design.
  2. BTEC HNC/HND in an engineering field as a minimum.
  3. EUSR water hygiene card.
  4. Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Degree in an engineering field.
  2. Strong AutoCAD design skills.
  3. Ability to use Microsoft Project to manage programs.
  4. Membership with relevant professional bodies.
