About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CDM Principal Designer to join our team at Building Design Partnership. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and their projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide CDM/PD support and advice to our multi-disciplinary design teams and clients during the design and pre-construction stages of projects.
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to plan, manage, and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction stage.
  • Share CDM knowledge across all professions and develop and deliver CDM training programs, workshops, and CPD events for designers within our London studio and across other BDP UK studios.
  • Compile and review significant hazard and risk registers, design risk management, and PCI Info packs, and work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their health and safety needs are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest CDM regulations and best practices, and ensure our team is aware of any changes or updates.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced CDM Principal Designer who is passionate about health and safety and has a strong background in design and construction. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

You will have a thorough understanding of the CDM 2015 Regulations and other health and safety regulations, and be able to apply this knowledge to ensure the health and safety of our clients and their projects.
