Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Summary:
As a Field Service Technician with Pertemps Scotland, you will be responsible for attending customer sites to fulfill business contracts. Your primary focus will be on completing planned preventive maintenances of fire safety systems, attending call outs, fault finding, and modifying existing systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Work efficiently and productively to meet Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for customers in the allocated regional area.
  • Respond to emergency call outs and unscheduled work as they arise, attending sites in the most efficient and cost-effective way while meeting customer's Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Complete service worksheets and all company documents comprehensively in line with BS5839 and company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively feed back on-site issues, non-compliances, and additional work possibilities to the Field Services Manager.
  • Provide excellent customer service when responding to customers.
  • Attend follow-up visits to ensure remedial work is completed within Service Level Agreement (SLA) timescales specific to customer.
  • Maximise on-site remedial works and opportunities.
  • Support other departments to complete installation works on time, where required.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel from other departments.
  • Follow health and safety guidance, always working in a safe manner, with the correct PPE, uniform, and equipment required for the assigned work.
  • Liaise with QHSE Manager for quality audit purposes, calibration of equipment, and Field audits, and checking understanding of monthly health and safety Toolbox Talks.

  • FIA Foundation with extensive knowledge of BS5839.
  • Fault finding knowledge.
  • Modification of Fire Safety Systems configuration.
