Finance Assistant Role at Play Sports Network

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Assistant to join our team at Play Sports Network. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Manager in maintaining a consistent control environment and ensuring the smooth operation of our finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process business expenses and communicate with suppliers
  • Process E Commerce transactions and reconcile supplier statements
  • Set up new suppliers and maintain supplier communications
  • Process purchase invoices and ensure timely payment
  • Raise sales ledger invoices and support credit control
  • Reconcile revenue streams and match costs
  • Support with queries sent to the finance email address
  • Assist with the month-end process and year-end close
Requirements:
  • Looking to start or working towards a finance qualification (e.g. AAT)
  • Good Excel/Google Sheet skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Experience in using accounting systems and broad experience in finance activities
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working in a media or business services environment
  • Experience in using Sage and understanding of double entry
  • Proactive and supportive with a willingness to attend the office
