Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Specialist to join our team at Rentokil Initial. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy automated processes in Google Cloud to integrate Google APIs and external tools.
  • Administer and utilize CICD tools such as BitBucket Premium.
  • Administer and maintain Google Cloud add-ons such as Cloud DataFusion and Google Apigee Enterprise.
  • Architectural assistance to product teams and global colleagues, design solutions using serverless technologies in the cloud.
  • Act as a technical point of contact on the platform, working with cloud service providers to ensure the platform remains operational.
  • Maintain the enterprise-wide view of the consumers of the cloud resources, applications, owners, and technical contacts.
  • Maintain services hosted on the platforms by measuring and monitoring availability, performance, cost, and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Expert in automation in the cloud, developing advanced Python code to interact with Google APIs and external tools.
  • Thorough understanding of networking and routing concepts and a proven ability to apply them successfully in cloud virtual networks.
  • ServiceNow administration and integration skills.
  • Knowledge of Bitbucket Pipelines and CICD methodology.
  • Hands-on experience of authentication methods, OAuth, token exchange, and identity federation methods.
  • Hands-on experience of running Python code in Google Cloud Run and Cloud Functions to automate governance tools, audit requirements, reporting, and automation needs.
  • Knowledge of Load Balancing technologies.
  • Expert in Google Cloud IAM.
  • Experience with App Engine Flex and Standard, API Gateway, Cloud Endpoints, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, BigQuery, and Looker.
  • Experience optimizing and economizing within cloud platforms, making use of Committed Use Discounts, scaling up and down, selecting the most efficient storage and compute options, and global region selection.
  • Extensive experience detecting and resolving security, performance, and availability issues.
Desirable:
  • Experience in AWS, particularly AWS IAM & SES.
  • Experience in Alibaba Cloud.
  • Experience with Infrastructure As Code technologies such as Terraform.
  • Database knowledge and SQL skills (ideally with experience of Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, CloudSQL).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment following Agile methodologies.
