We are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our highly regarded team at the Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in York.

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services and working as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. You will hold your own caseload of patients and support our Lead to ensure the provision of an efficient Physiotherapy service.

The successful candidate will have experience within neurorehabilitation and respiratory settings, with a strong background in working with tracheostomy patients. You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and hold HCPC registration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the provision of a high-quality physiotherapy service and its place within the multidisciplinary team
  • Perform advanced neurological and respiratory physiotherapy assessments and treatment to patients, often with diverse, complex, or multiple pathologies and presentations
  • Assist our Lead to develop and manage the physiotherapy service and staff
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner to formulate a treatment plan and management programme according to assessment findings and to develop and maintain high standards of patient care
  • Use highly developed physical skills to support patients who have a neurological impairment to maximise independence
  • Liaise with family, carers and significant others where appropriate to ensure patients' needs are met to a high standard
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Experience within neurorehabilitation and respiratory settings
  • Previous experiencing working with tracheostomy patients
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS
