About the Role

The Team Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery operation team, including recruitment, training, and performance management of all spoke drivers. This will involve chairing meetings with drivers, managing site operations, and ensuring all health and safety measures are in place and followed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in conducting formal meetings, understanding and applying relevant policies, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. They will also be passionate about dealing with people and focused on achieving employee satisfaction.

This role is for 40 hours per week, working a variation of 10 hour shifts on an any 4 days from 7 rotation, including some weekend working.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring KPIs are a vital focus across the site, including labour turnover, absence rates, and engagement scores.
  • Continuously encouraging self-improvement, training, and development of teams to support succession planning and drive initiatives that encourage site-wide engagement and enhance morale.
  • Previous experience in conducting formal meetings, understanding and applying relevant policies, and having strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance, and previous experience in a spoke/warehouse or logistics environment.
