Job Description

The role of the Senior High Voltage Commissioning Manager is to oversee the technical management and commissioning of high voltage systems. The successful candidate will ensure that all commissioning engineers complete their plans and subsequent testing to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in developing commissioning strategies, processes and standards to ensure compliance with customer and legislative requirements
  • To supervise and carry out appropriate testing and commissioning of client's systems and equipment
  • To compile data from these tests and produce evidence to prove that equipment meets regulatory requirements
  • To provide documentation for suggested test procedures, ITP, RAMS & commissioning programme

This is a critical role within the company, requiring a highly skilled and experienced individual who can manage and deliver complex projects. As Senior High Voltage Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe working conditions for everyone involved in the testing and assessment of site machinery and equipment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in commissioning of HV systems in the UK
  • Good knowledge of secondary and primary injection methods, CT's and VT's testing, functional checks, hard wire or fibre optic intertrips, DNP3 and 10pair hard wired communication, SCADA check to the Customer Control Room, on load checks and tests
  • Good knowledge of Testing/programming of Micom series relays
  • Good knowledge of Reydisp, DIGSI, Agile
