Job Title: 1 to 1 Behaviour Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of 1-to-1 Behaviour Support. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific student to provide tailored behavioural support, ensuring they have the opportunity to succeed both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualised behaviour management plans for a student with behavioural needs.
  • Assist the student in developing positive behaviours and coping strategies.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and report on the student's progress.
  • Help create a supportive and structured environment that promotes positive behaviour.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student, their family, and other staff members.
  • Support the student in their academic activities, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated.
  • Facilitate the student's inclusion in classroom activities and school life.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.

About the Role:
  • Help bridge the gap for learners where English isn't their first language.
  • Work in partnership with other members of staff to support the learners in their care.
  • Support the class Teacher with the planning for the lesson.
  • Support learners individually, in small groups and on a full-class basis.
  • Engage learners with both classroom and outside-classroom activities.
  • Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies.
Requirements:
  • Registration as a School Learning Support Worker with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council).
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.
