About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airside Transport Driver to join our team at Irlam Associates. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting cargo between locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Cargo: Drive company and contracted vehicles to transport cargo between locations, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo received for import and export, ensuring accurate and secure handling.
  • Mail and Courier Delivery: Deliver mail and courier bags, including heavy lifting of bags and loose bulk, to ensure timely and secure delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain company and contracted vehicles in a clean and tidy condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Breakdown Reports: Complete breakdown reports as required, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Security and Compliance: Adhere to all company processes and procedures to maintain security and health and safety compliance, including customer requirements and regulatory protocols.
Requirements
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of the English language in both written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
  • Driving Licenses: Full driving license and LGV2 license, with a valid Certificate of Professional Competence.
  • Basic Skills: Basic numeracy and literacy skills to perform daily tasks and responsibilities.
Working Arrangements

We operate 24/7 to meet customer demands and deadlines, and as such, flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
