Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Arboriculture Specialist to join our team at Fenland District Council. As a key player in our Parks & Open Spaces and Planning teams, you will be responsible for evaluating, collecting data, and taking remedial action to address issues related to our tree stock (approximately 4,000 trees). This is a unique opportunity to establish a tree register using EzyTreev software, a task that has never been undertaken by the council before.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and address issues related to our tree stock, including data collection and remedial action.
  • Establish and maintain a tree register using EzyTreev software.
  • Comment on the implications of new developments on trees and advise on tree works applications for conservation area protected trees and TPO trees.
  • Engage in the establishment of new TPOs and the review of existing TPOs.

Requirements:

  • Qualification to Level 4 in Arboriculture.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and direction.
  • Technical skills, including proficiency in EzyTreev software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility.
  • Full, current driving license.
