Job Title: Electrical Multi-Skilled Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Multi-Skilled Technician to join our team at Astute People. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and instrumentation, as well as experience in fault finding and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding, installing and maintaining instrumentation and control systems
  • Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the site's DCS/control systems
  • Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
  • Assisting in the development of plant modification and improvement work
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site's CMM
  • Supervising and directing on-site contractors when required
  • Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times

Requirements:

  • A recognised Electrical Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC
  • At least 4 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical fault-finding in heavy process environments, which will be required during call-outs
  • Any Controls and Instrumentation experience would be hugely beneficial but not essential
