We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join our team as a Band 5/6 Practice Nurse. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality practice nursing care to the practice population, following evidence-based guidelines and local/national protocols.
- Provide general treatment room, preventative care, and patient education.
- Perform duties such as wound care, removal of sutures/clips, ear syringing, immunisations/therapeutic injections, cervical screening, and emergency/urgent care.
- Supervise and support healthcare assistants.
- Participate in meetings/training as required by the practice team.
- Ensure accurate, timely records of all consultations are recorded in computerised records.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the practice team, other agencies, and disciplines.
- RGN Qualified nurse (or equivalent) on the register of the NMC.
- Good time management and ability to work within an appointment system.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Good rapport with patients and evidence of personal development.
- Practice nurse experience (desirable).
- RGN Qualified nurse (or equivalent) on the register of the NMC.
