About the Job:

We are looking for a Senior Water Industry Commercial Manager to join our Esh Group team. As a senior member of our commercial department, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our Water Industry projects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To drive cost control and value engineering on assigned projects.
  • To lead communication with internal and external stakeholders to maximise income from the works.
  • To ensure timely and accurate measurement and valuation of the works, including ensuring other members of the team comply.
  • To evaluate variations and monitor them in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To record information relating to the works.
  • To produce internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities, and cost value reconciliations in line with the commercial reporting timetable.
  • To create project financial forecasts and reports.
  • To manage subcontractors, approving orders and payments produced by other members of staff.
  • To certify and/or approve payments to Sub Contractors.
  • To prevent and/or resolve disagreements with suppliers and the client.
  • To identify and notify delays.
  • To aid and mentor the Quantity Surveying team in achieving company objectives.

Requirements:

  • 10 years' experience and a proven track record in the commercial environment.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent.
  • Competent in Civil Engineering construction processes and procedures.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Water Industry, including Water Treatment Processes, Water storage & conveyance, MEICA, ICA & SCADA, Environmental impact & implications, and Flood prevention.
  • Proven experience of working within different contract frameworks.
  • Experience of working on Frameworks within the relevant sector or as specific to project, NEC Target Costs Contracts, Design & Construct Schemes, and Water Industry schemes.
  • Experience of Microsoft and office IT packages.
  • Experience in use of extranet and electronic project management systems.
  • A good understanding of project planning.
  • Comprehensive contracting and commercial skills.

Annual Salary: £65,000 - £85,000
