Overview:

Daniel Owen Ltd is a precision engineering subcontract machine shop that specializes in high quality turning and 5 axis CNC machining. We are seeking an experienced skilled Quality Inspector to help us fulfill our expanding order book.

About the Role:

To control product quality throughout the business, ensuring that the organization meets its customers' expectations. To work with the Quality Manager and other inspectors in promoting a right first-time approach to all tasks within the company. To work within an AS9100 quality environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct 1st off, interim, patrol and final inspection activities.
  2. Use the SFDC (Shop Floor Data Collection) to clock on and off the jobs accurately and log scrap and conforming parts.
  3. Conduct inspection of externally supplied materials, goods and parts.
  4. Complete First Article to AS9102, PPAP's and inspections reports (ISIR).
  5. Conduct reject analysis for internal and external rejects.
  6. Carry out root cause analysis and complete RCCA/NCR reports.
  7. Help with contract review when required to meet customer requirements.
  8. Attend customers/suppliers' premises where required on quality matters.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a precision machining inspection department.
  • Experience of Aberlink CMM Programming and use.
