We are currently recruiting an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our client's established team. As a leading injection moulding machine manufacturer, we offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing new injection moulding machines at customer premises and carrying out routine servicing and repairs to ensure customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for current or previous experienced Service Engineers or Maintenance Engineers looking to move into a Service Engineer position.

Responsibilities:
  • Install new injection moulding equipment at clients' sites, ensuring proper setup and configuration according to manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, troubleshooting issues with injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, and control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and parts replacement, to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on injection moulding machinery, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers for replacement parts and upgrades.
  • Conduct training sessions for client personnel on the operation, maintenance, and safety procedures related to injection moulding equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, parts inventory, and equipment history, using our internal systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of technical issues to maximize customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Have previous working knowledge of injection molding machines or plastic processing equipment.
  • Experience of working with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Have a good awareness and understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
