Mental Health Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Mental Health Specialist to work within our Community Mental Health Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual with excellent clinical skills and experience in working with adults with mental health needs.
About the RoleThis role will involve providing comprehensive mental health services to adults of working age who experience moderate to severe mental health problems in a community setting. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for utilising the Care Programme Approach to support and promote the recovery of service-users under our care.
- You will provide clinically effective assessment, care management skills and interventions in accordance with the Care Programme Approach and Care Act framework.
- Engage with clients in the development of person-centred, recovery-focused care plans.
- Support our experienced duty team with short-term pieces of work and support people managing crisis.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work effectively with adult service users with mental health needs across Bury. You will be highly skilled and competent in both holistic health assessment and identifying social needs, risk management and formulation, developing collaborative care plans, facilitating the implementation of the agreed plan for care with a focus on recovery and social inclusion.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- RMN/OT/Social Worker qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of post-registration study or equivalent experience.
- Short courses and experience up to post-graduate diploma level.
In addition, desirable qualifications include:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Preparation for mentorship or equivalent.
- Psycho-social/CBT qualification or other therapy qualification.
The salary for this role is approximately £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including access to training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive team environment.
