About the Role

This role involves listening to, understanding and reproducing speech with 100% accuracy. You will interpret for people using legal, health and local government services.

  • You will check the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence.
  • You will be required to deal with highly confidential information.
  • You will liaise between the service user and service provider.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Strong knowledge of a foreign language (all applicants must have the right to work in the UK).
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or equivalent.
