Vallum Associates is a leading consulting firm that specializes in providing top-notch IT solutions to its clients.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Control-M Automation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting Control-M, as well as scheduling large batches of jobs within various customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control-M Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Control-M configuration, administration, and schedule net backup and batch processes.
  • Troubleshooting and Configuration: Troubleshoot and configure new Control-M installations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor gateway/Global condition server and Global alert server, and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Scheduling and Execution: Schedule large batches of jobs within various customer requirements, ensuring timely execution and minimal downtime.
  • Incident Management: Resolve incidents, changes, and problem management user-generated requests and queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Node Group Management: Define Control-M in node groups, ensuring accurate job scheduling and execution.
  • Component Management: Perform start-up and shutdown procedures for CTM components, and monitor and recycle Control-M/EM (gateway, global condition server, and global alert server).
  • Fault Tolerance: Implement failover and recovery procedures for Control-M/EM, ensuring business continuity in the event of system failure.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support and handle issues as per business priority, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • ITIL Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of incident and change management process as per ITIL guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Control-M administration and automation.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and troubleshooting Control-M installations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL guidelines and best practices.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and paid annual leave.
