We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Strategy Leader to join our client, a dynamic private equity-backed multi-site FMCG company. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering financial excellence and driving business performance.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the finance function, support strategic decision-making, and play a critical role in providing accurate financial reporting and insights that will directly influence business decisions and drive performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring efficient financial operations and control across all areas.
  • Prepare and review consolidated monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing clear insights for the leadership team.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including IFRS.
  • Support M&A activity, including due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses.

Requirements:

  • ACA or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a private equity-backed or high-growth environment.
  • Extensive experience in a senior finance leadership role
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level and drive business performance.
  • Hands-on approach, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team, fostering a culture of high performance.
