About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our vibrant planning consultancy in Stratford-upon-Avon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals, conducting site visits and planning appraisals, and researching and preparing reports to support planning strategies and proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
- Conduct site visits and planning appraisals to gather data and inform planning strategies.
- Research and prepare reports to support planning strategies and proposals, utilizing your knowledge of the UK planning system and relevant legislation.
- Engage with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to progress planning projects and ensure effective communication.
- Support senior planners in managing complex projects, ensuring alignment with local and national planning policies.
Requirements:
- A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in town planning, with a strong understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant planning software.
