Event Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Event Management Specialist to join our team at Headingley Stadium, the home of Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
This iconic dual-sport venue is steeped in sporting legend, hosting international fixtures and memorable moments in both cricket and rugby. As an Event Management Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional events and hospitality experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day conference and events operations, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Delegation and communication of responsibilities to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Build strong relationships with fellow Heads of Departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Promote the venue's maximum potential, building relationships with clients, customers, and employees alike.
- Deliver a food and drinks service to an exceptionally high standard, focusing on customer journey excellence.
- Manage stock levels, wastage, and operating costs, controlling costs through effective labour rota management.
- Ensure accurate tracking and charging of additional event expenses.
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced people manager who can lead teams to deliver outstanding customer service. Essential skills include:
- Experience in managing high-volume meetings and events in a large operation setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- IT literacy and confidence in embracing technology.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer-centric approach.
