About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Civil Engineer to join our team at Sweco UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing design support for non-infrastructure schemes and ensuring all designs meet current legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Principal Engineer, Design Managers, and Technical Managers to acquire project milestones and design review dates.
  • Review drawings and models to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are adhered to.
  • Review project design calculations and ensure they have been completed by project teams.
  • Liaise with other departments and project teams to ensure design requirements are met.
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to set technical common standards and processes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and be able to demonstrate a level of competence in practical civil engineering design experience in the water/wastewater industry environment. You will also have a proven track record in design and integration of civil process systems and equipment, as well as experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
