Overview

We are partnering with a growing private equity firm to find an experienced professional to lead their financial operations and portfolio management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and investment operations, with experience in implementing new systems and processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of internal operations across the management company, fund platform, compliance regulation, HR, and office facilities. They will also be responsible for developing and improving automation of operational functions and analysis across portfolio companies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage group accounting for all entities and oversee cash and treasury management
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for all entities
  • Oversee fund accounting and investor reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of investor reports
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including compliance, tax, and fund finance
  • Manage quarterly portfolio company reporting and valuations
  • Oversee valuations and manage annual fund audit
  • Manage investment committee finalization, compliance, and investor drawdowns
  • Implement portfolio analytics and monitoring across the portfolio
  • Finalize application for AIFM authorization
  • Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Implement best practice ESG reporting and compliance
  • Manage IT outsourcing relationship and ensure best-practice IT
  • Manage internal HR processes and systems
  • Oversee office infrastructure and ensure high standards are maintained
  • Lead a team of two accountants
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with experience leading finance or investment operations teams in the private markets industry
  • Experience in implementing new systems and processes
  • Familiarity with private equity fund structures and service providers is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Self-organized and self-motivated with a result-oriented mindset
  • High proficiency in MS Office
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for career growth and development, as well as a competitive bonus structure.
